The work of Kevin Boyd

Kevin Boyd - Multimedia Creations Ltd.

I started programming in Multimedia in 1985 developing Interactive Videodisc content on BBC Micros using BASIC and 6502 Assembler. Back then there where no authoring tools and so I had to write everything myself culminating in a 3-year project for The Ford Motor Company training all their factory works in Statistical Process Control, which won the 1991 BIMA "Best Multimedia Production" award.

In January 1990, I formed my own company Multimedia Creations to supply specialist programming knowledge to the multimedia community. Since that time, I have developed a wide variety of programs for many leading New Media production companies and corporate clients in areas such as e-learning, games, chat rooms, presentations and kiosks. Over the last 15 years I have used many authoring systems from Authorware and ToolBook through to my current area of expertease Director and Flash. I write code using Object Orientated techniques and also have knowledge of HTML and XML.

My two decades of experience in the New Media industry has given me a unique understanding of clients needs to produce well-written and stable programmes that deliver the clients vision on time and on budget.

Some of my local clients over the years have been: Victoria Real, Cognitive Applications, Epic and Hudoq.

Some of my corporate clients have been: Adidas, Nokia, Marks & Spencers, BBC, Legal & General, Sony, National Lottery and The Science Museum.
