Robin Houghton
Robin's first career was as an aerobics instructor - which led to her being hired by sports giants Nike in their promotions department. Within a few years she was Nike's first UK Women's Category Marketing Manager, going on to international marketing roles with adidas in Germany and the USA.
Returning to the UK in 1999, Robin was already heavily involved in the internet and worked for an online agency in Brighton while studying for an MA. She started her own business in 2002, helping small businesses and non-profits with their marketing.
Now, trading as enewsworks she creates and manages email newsletters for clients in the hospitality, education, arts, retail and B2B sectors. As an online specialist she contributes regularly to a range of publications including Classical Music, Arts Professional and Caterer and Hotelkeeper.
For the last two years Robin has run email marketing workshops for London Chamber of Commerce eBusiness Club and has taught courses in marketing communications for the University of Sussex. She has also presented at business conferences nationwide.
Robin has a BA in Linguistics and an MA (Distinction) in Digital Media, both from the University of Sussex. She is a member of the Marketing Society and the Institute of Direct Marketing.
