THE WOMEN IN MEDIA INITIATIVE NEEDS YOU!

The Women In Media website has been designed to be an interesting and useful resource for women in the digital media sector in Sussex and beyond. Therefore the best possible source of content is you! The aim for this website is to be a first point of call for any woman who needs advice, inspiration or information from fellow professionals in the digital media community, so if you feel you've got some input to offer then why not get involved? We want you to help us gradually build the following sections of the site:

The homepage of the Women In Media website features artwork and photography by female creatives based in Sussex. This feature has worked really well on the Wired Sussex website and has on many occasions led to commissions for the artist or company who's work is featured. News

Keep up to date with the latest news from the digital media community in Sussex, with a specific focus on achievements and issues faced by women in the sector. This area will be continually updated with stories that interest or affect you. If you have recently secured a big new contract, are having an exhibition or have won an award then contact us at women@wiredsussex.com to let us know about it.

Trainers/Inspirational Speakers

The aim of this initiative is to encourage a greater number of women to enter the media and technology industry in Sussex, as well as help those already working in the sector to develop their careers further. If you are an expert trainer or inspirational speaker and think that you can help us achieve this aim, we would love to hear from you. Knowledge Share

Share your business knowledge and expertise with women in the Sussex digital media sector. From helpful tips on finding work in the industry to advice on legal or environmental issues that affect businesses, here is the place to share the knowledge. If you have something to contribute contact women@wiredsussex.com with your ideas.

Case Studies

A section of the website will be devoted to women working within the digital media sector in Sussex and their career case studies. A collection of women from different backgrounds and of various ages, with range of career paths will feature and hopefully inspire and encourage more young women in Sussex to enter the digital media industry. If you work in the digital media sector and would like to be one of the career case studies please contact women@wiredsussex.com so a member of the project team can arrange a time to conduct a short interview with you.
