BANG

The Brighton Animators Networking Group (BANG) provides an opportunity for animators to meet both online and offline and share knowledge. Anyone with an interest in animation should become a member of the BANG online social network, which includes details of their most recent meet-ups and collaborations as well as an active animation forum.

Past events and collaborations have included:

• White Night Animation. BANG members produced work that was projected onto a building in central Brighton as part of the city's White Night Festival.
• The BANG show and tell. BANG regulars proved to be hardy by braving the nerves and showing their own work.
• David Jacklin and Darren Garrett from Litteloud showed off an impressive showreel and discussed their latest work.
• The BANG Christmas card, making animations to lines of the Christmas song Feed the World.
• David Curry of Le Singe Media demonstrated how his mobile content company collaborates with animators and where more opportunities are arising for cross-medium work.
