Investment and Trade Support: Wired Sussex has an ongoing brief to work with the many international companies who want to set up in this part of the UK. Recently, we helped Linden Lab, creators of Second Life, and Disney's Club Penguin establish bases in Brighton.

We respond to information requests from companies and from British embassies, present Brighton’s digital offer at events and conferences in the UK and overseas and we help incoming companies connect effectively with Brighton’s unique digital culture.

We also run workshops and online social groups for the different organisations engaged in inward investment including Brighton & Hove City Council, UK Trade and Industry, SEEDA, and the South East Media Network.

Wired Sussex also helps our member companies who want to develop their international presence by managing trade missions, getting grants for companies to pitch into new markets and advising companies who want to sell their products and services into overseas markets.

Inward investment is an important part of the overall strategy for developing the digital media sector in region. Attracting international businesses to Brighton grows the reputation of the digital cluster and attracts more clients, talent and financial support to our members. As part of our ongoing to commitment to grow the digital sector in Sussex we have created a cross-organisation group with Brighton & Hove City Council, UKTI, SEEDA, and SEMN to share information and agree strategies. This is the first grouping of its kind in the country
