Liz Squire, Wild Dog Design Limited

Nick Eakhurst, Not Only But Also

Events and Training

'Just a quick line to say many thanks to you and the team for organising this morning's event. To hear Spannerwork's Arjo run us through the future of search was both enlightening and enjoyable.'
Aaron Lowe, e-bloc Interactive
'Just a quick email to say thanks for The Social today, really enjoyed it and made some good contacts there. Wining an i-pod shuffle was also very nice!'
Carey McIlvenny - freelance marketer/writer
'A massive thank you to the Wired Sussex team for making Tuesday night so amazing and for introducing me to so many interesting, friendly and inspiring people. Best nine pounds I have spent in a long time, I got a wide range of helpful advice and feedback.'
Jon May - Portfolio Clinic attendee
'It's easy to lose sight of creative and professional endeavours when our heads are down working hard each day. A programme like dSCAPE helps to shake up the creative spirit by presenting evidence of people acheiving their goals. There's nothing more inspiring!'
James Marsden, Futurlab - dSCAPE/05 attendee
'...it was a fantastic morning, and I met a wonderful animator as a consequence who will be a great help for my work.'
Ruth Collins
'I think the work the Wired Sussex team is doing to support women in media is really positive. I've met some really interesting people and if I can help in any way please get in touch.'
Dominique Lee, Worth Media
'I attended this speed networking event and, to be perfectly honest with you, I turned up thinking that it really was not for me and I did not feel that it would be of any benefit. How wrong could I be?! It turned out to be an excellent way of networking. I had a captive audience and everybody present knew the purpose of the event i.e. to sell their services. At most networking events, you spend probably 60% of your time passing pleasantries and wondering how to pitch yourself. With Speed Networking you just get stuck in and once you work out the timing, it's great. I probably spoke to over 25 people. I picked up at least 2 clients for myself and probably another 2 for the group. Not bad for a couple of hours networking.'
Anne-Marie Franklin, Ashdown Hurrey
'Thank you for all the organisation and hard work. 15 minutes talking Future Platforms up from behind a podium is a drop in the ocean compared to the work that you guys obviously put in. Cheers for getting us involved, and let me know when you want to start talking about next year.'
Tom Hume, Future Platforms - Designers Night speaker / dSCAPE/05 Partner
'All of the Wired Sussex organised events have been top-notch so far.'
Conor Patterson, Managing Director, Protean Vision Quest Ltd
'Thanks for being a part of organising a very stimulating and informative two days – please pass my appreciation on to the speakers and others involved. I found the quality of information provided to be far better than at other events I and my partners have recently attended and wish you every success with Ready4Growth. I must say one of the most useful aspects of the two days... was the chance to network with other entrepreneurs with related or common interests. The calibre of delegates was extremely high, and I think the screening of Executive Summaries worked very effectively to fill the room with interesting and interested people.'
Phil Booth, Virtualised Data Solutions Ltd re.Ready4Growth event
'Many of us are busy working with clients in London, Europe, and further afield – so it's often easy to forget who is on your doorstep! Wired Venture evenings are always enjoyable, informal and one of the nicest ways to meet with some of the most interesting companies in Sussex.'
Rob Day Director Liquid Light
'Just thought I'd let you know that I thought last night's speed networking event was a superb success. Congratulations! I have been sending follow-up e-mails since 8.30 this morning.'
Lloyd Raworth, Lloyd Raworth Design
'Thanks for organising these events, they prove to be informative and useful for us particularly with keeping abreast of current new media/business activities in the area; and thanks for your time on the evening.'
Estella Reed, iCorssing

'As one of your private sector clients may I take this opportunity to say that I and other managers at Study Group have been delighted by the quality of the applicants that have responded to the job advertisements we have placed over the last year on Wired Sussex. In comparison to other methods of recruitment you represent excellent value for money, and we have been able to recruit three ideal new members of staff quickly and efficiently using your services exclusively. I'd also like to congratulate you on the quality of your support staff who have always responded very promptly to any issues we have raised.'
Ric Francis, Manager, Study Group
'We have had a huge response and need no more applicants. Great value advertising! The number and quality of applicants was astonishing compared to a few years ago when we ran a similar ad.'

'We've just successfully recruited again today using your recruitment section. This time we got an outstanding candidate out of a very high calibre group of applicants... Specialised industry, local-area recruitment sites like WiredSussex are the future of internet-based recruitment. I don't think large sites like Monster.com or Workthing.com can do quite the job you do. You also make an identifiable, meaningful contribution to the local economy and community.'
Ricard Giner, Study Group International
'Wired Sussex will always be part of any recruitment drive we undertake.'
Julie Rivas, Diya Information Engineers
