Sarah Strickett - Biography

Sarah Strickett graduated from West Surrey College of Design in 1988 and received a Masters with Distinction for project In Digital Moving Image from London Guildhall University in 2004

Since 1988 she has worked as freelance animator in London and directed her own films for Channel four and TVS television. Her work has been shown in festivals worldwide including, Holland, Brazil, America and Australia. And The London Film Festival.

She runs an animation course in Farnborough Surrey and runs workshops in 'Scriptwriting and Storyboarding for Animation' One to one tuition in After Effects, Photoshop and flash for animation.'

Sarah has taught in Greece, London and Brighton.

Her work is highly visual and its visual influences range from German Expressionism, through to retro images and 1950's science fiction horror films.

She now has her own company 'Big Hands' which is based in Brighton producing music videos, programme idents and Animation. She is also running an 'Animated Shorts festival' which will be taking place in January 2006.

She is currently working on developing a script for an animation series for BBC3 with American writer Jurgen Woolf called 'Flatmates'. and her own project The Stand up Guy.'
