Angie Taylor - Biography

Angie Taylor is an animator and digital filmmaker based in the UK. She works on a freelance basis for production companies and broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4 television, producing animation, motion graphics and visual effects for TV, film and video.

Angie also provides expert bespoke training and consultancy and regularly tours with Adobe and Apple, giving software demonstrations and seminars on digital filmmaking and animation processes.

Angie is an Adobe Certified Expert; an Apple Solutions Expert and also has a book published, called "Creative After Effects" which teaches people how to use Adobe's After Effects software in creative ways.

She has provided training and consultancy for various leading companies including; BBC; Channel 4; Carlton; HTV; Sky; The Moving Picture Company; Rushes; as well as countless independent production companies.

Angie has recently finished creating visual Effects on ' Hibernation', a Short film, directed by John Williams. The film has recently won the award for 'Best British Short' at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

She has also designed animations with UK-based design house, D-Fuse for a ground breaking DVD album for the US musician, Beck. She showed techniques used in both of these projects at this years NAB and IBC conferences.

Angie also worked with UK director Chris Cunningham on 'Rubber Johnny' - a short film, recently released on DVD by Warp Records. This is a collaboration with Aphex Twin whose trailer is found on Chris' Directors Label DVD.

Angie is also working on a DVD project for punk band, The Slits. Featuring new, live concert footage from their recent tour, plus a new animated promo for one of their songs and archive footage from the early days of punk.

Angie has recently finished working on 'The Prey', a feature length digital film within the science-fiction/fantasy genre. The film is due for completion in the Spring of 2005. Plans for Cannes and other international festivals are under consideration in addition to screenings to various television stations and a US distributor.
