Marketing and Training Coordinator

VEGA Controls are a manufacturer of industrial instrumentation and control products. They are involved in B2B product selling and servicing to organisations in the manufacturing, utilities and municipal sectors throughout the UK.  As a subsidiary to the global family owned parent company based in the black forest in Germany, they are well established have been operating in the UK for almost 40 years. VEGA are known for their innovative, high quality products, customer and business values, with a focus on the people and stakeholders involved in making their relationships successful. 

The company are based in Burgess Hill at present, but embarking on an exciting project of a new state of the art building to move into in the Autumn of 2020 in Maresfield, East Sussex. The department will of course be strongly involved in this project, and any candidate considering this role will also need to factor in travel to the new office location in the latter part of 2020.

This is a great opportunity for someone to work in a busy, multi-channel, multi-disciplined marketing department for a period of approximately 1 year, starting in mid November. There will be a handover period of around 1 month with the current staff member to help understand and learn about existing systems and projects ongoing in the role. The successful candidate will be quick to learn and capable of using their own initiative to analyse and complete tasks. This person will need excellent admin, organisational and communication skills, along with a friendly, flexible can-do/can-help attitude.  

VEGA are looking for a marketing all rounder, a person looking for a challenging role in a busy environment, in a small team reporting and working directly with the UK marketing manager. 

You will get some experience in virtually all marketing disciplines, from event and exhibition coordination, through to coordinating and planning advertising campaigns, mailers and some basic design and creative work (some skills on Adobe Suite products would be useful). As well as handling the coordination of our training courses, customer seminars and working on our database/CRM system. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and using digital platforms for e-mailings, social feeds and posting on the company website is also essential. (See the Job Description for more details)
