Head of Creative

Bozboz is an award-winning, web and creative marketing agency. Based in Brighton - a stone’s throw away from the North Laine - we’re Independent, innovative and socially conscious.

We are looking for a Head of Creative to join our Senior Management Team and provide leadership and direction for our award-winning Creative team.


Overview of role

You set the standard for the output of the agency. You’re able to provide clear direction across design, copywriting, branding and strategy projects, while coaxing remarkable ideas out of everyone around you.  You have a comprehensive background in brand strategy and understand how to enforce brand enablers in developed businesses. You champion design thinking and put the user at the centre of everything that you do. You’re the torchbearer for the agency vision and are passionate about adding true value to our clients. You can see the bigger picture for brands and aren’t afraid to fight tooth and nail to help them see it.  


What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience working in an agency as a Head of Creative, Creative Planner or equivalent
  • A confident leader, experienced hiring, line managing and developing teams of creatives, designers and copywriters
  • Building creative strategies and concepts that realise marketing objectives and delight clients
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn etc and how those tools can be used for insights and executions
  • Understanding of how ideas fit into broader brand and communication strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of brand strategy including the creation of internal enablers to bring those strategies to life
  • Well versed in running internal and client workshops, including; tone of voice workshops, MOSCOW and ideation
  • Experience directing the creation of user interfaces, print ads, digital ads, brand identities, video/film, photoshoots, motion graphics and design systems
  • A competent copy editor, comfortable providing technical and functional feedback to senior copywriters
  • A technically proficient practitioner of design thinking, capable of critiquing design work through an objective lens
  • At home in high-pressure pitch environments, a natural storyteller and evocative presenter
  • Leading multiple parallel projects from conception to completion
  • Storyboarding and overseeing the creation of rich media content
  • Strong in both creative and analytical thinking
