Our primary markets are the US, UK, Canada & Australia, whilst we will be rolling out to more countries in 2017-18. We work with some of the biggest and brightest digital marketing agencies in the world, as well as awesome brands like Paddy Power, Nandos and Co-Op.

Job Description:

Are you looking to join a fun, exciting, and fast-growing tech company? We’re looking for a B2B Content Marketer to join our dynamic Marketing team and help take BrightLocal to the next level!

We’re looking for an SEO savvy content marketer to support our output of content and communicate to our SMB & SEO prospects and customers.

Working closely with the other members of the marketing team, you will be responsible for developing a diverse content & PR outreach plan that aligns to our business strategy & helps build engagement with an international audience.

With a background in journalism, or another similar content role, you will have a good understanding of SEO, as well as the ability to write concise, appealing content which promotes the BrightLocal brand and positions us as thought leaders in the industry.

With prospects and customers in North America, Europe & beyond, it’s important that you know how to write for different audiences, and produce content that engages an already well-informed & professional user base. Key responsibilities:

  • Support the creation & development of high quality content for the BrightLocal blog
  • Develop, analyse & produce insightful qualitative & quantitative industry research
  • Create & manage brand content (landing pages, tool guides & resources)
  • Assist and manage detailed content calendar
  • Identify content opportunities for each stage of the customer lifecycle
  • Monitor brand engagement online and follow up appropriately
  • Produce detailed monthly reports which analyse the success of content & outreach

You will receive excellent training and support to ensure that you have the skills & confidence necessary for you to grow as we grow.

You’ll attend relevant industry conferences so you can learn from the best and apply your new-found knowledge to your content initiatives.

Skills Range:
  • You have 3+ years experience in a content marketing or journalistic role
  • You have good SEO or digital marketing knowledge
  • You are experienced with Microsoft Office packages
  • You have good analytical & investigative skills to produce insightful research 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Person Specification:
  • You are a fast learner and can quickly grasp details of our tools & service
  • You are self-motivated & happy to work autonomously on your tasks
  • You have excellent attention to detail
  • You are tech-savvy and comfortable using online communication tools – e.g. skype, slack
  • You have an analytical mind & enjoy working with data &
  • You are enquiring & creative and can come up with great content & research ideas

Salary: £25k-£28k (dependant on experience)
Attendance: Full-Time

No one works on their birthday - that's an extra day off!

All employees have the chance to work abroad for 3 weeks/year. This is a great way to balance work & life and work from a hut in Thailand or a cafe in Santiago!

Working Environment

The office is informal & casual.

We expect people to work hard but also to enjoy their time at work. The music is always playing and coffee flows thick!

We take a day out every 2-3 months to do something fun & frivolous - recent have involved go karting, quad biking, archery, paint-balling, paragliding & cocktail making
