Wired Sussex re-launches website and range of new services

November 2003
From this month, new media firms can take advantage of a brand new range of services, created specifically to meet the needs of the industry. Offered by Wired Sussex, these paid for services are now available on this, their totally redesigned, website.

New services from Wired Sussex include:

  • Online Press Room – facilitating the production and distribution of press releases to a wide selection of regional, national and trade publications. Companies can upload their own releases and obtain a series of specially selected PR services from Wired Sussex's partners – Midnight Communications and Press Dispensary.
  • Premium Jobs – enabling firms to promote vacancies both on the website and in a variety of relevant publications. For the first time, visitors can also create alert profiles and email job profiles to friends and colleagues.
  • Board-Level Support Programme (Mentoring) – providing businesses with long term hands-on, practical guidance from experts in strategic planning, management and personnel, intellectual property and sales and marketing.
This freshly designed site features new search functions and an expanded business development section. Users can also update themselves on pertinent industry and business issues by visiting the business advice area. Here they can download white papers and access links to other research and related websites.

Since the agency's inception in 1997, this website has proved to be a vital resource for new media companies across Sussex. The new format will allow Wired Sussex to offer even greater support to this sector, not just locally but on a national level.

Emily Aitken, executive director of Wired Sussex, explains the decision to overhaul the site and develop the new range of services: 'We gather feedback from our clients on a regular basis, so we're well aware of the issues facing both the industry as a whole, and individual firms across the region.

'The new media sector has been through a tough time, but many businesses are now experiencing or expecting an upturn, and are going through periods of growth and change. Our aim at Wired Sussex is to provide practical support which will facilitate this growth, and the new services provided through our website are an excellent way of achieving this.'
