Wired Sussex teams up with new arrival to Brighton PR scene
Wired Sussex has signed up a new PR and marketing partner to help grow its membership and services.
DLP Communications will deliver a range of bespoke marketing activities and services to help support the Brighton-based business development and networking agency over the next 12 months.
Emily Aitken, Executive Director of Wired Sussex, commented: 'Increasing our revenue and engagement with local companies are key objectives for us this year. In order to meet these objectives, we need to develop a targeted marketing and PR strategy. By working with DLP, we will be able to access a comprehensive pool of PR and marketing talent to complement our own resources.'
DLP Communications was awarded the one-year contract, which lasts until April 2005, just weeks after its relocation to Brighton from its Kent offices.
Peter Smith, Managing Director of DLP Communications, commented: 'PR and marketing is becoming increasingly competitive and results driven, so it is essential that agencies take an integrated and innovative approach to their campaigns. All our output is generated from a perspective of identifying the potential appeal to the widest spread of publics that our clients seek to influence. This calls for a lot of thinking out of the box, but means we can deliver excellent value.
'We are pleased to be using our skills and expertise to assist Wired Sussex with its valuable work, and hope this will be the first of many associations with local organisations,' added Peter.
Online polls, business roadshows and national press outreach will be among the activities being organised by DLP on behalf of Wired Sussex. 'DLP takes a very original and effective approach to PR and marketing that will enable us to increase our impact and presence,' commented Emily. 'The company and its team are a great addition to the digital, technology and media community in Sussex, and we are delighted to be working with them.'
