New Brighton Data Centre online hosting from Semantico

With the launch of their new tier-1 carrier grade datacentre in Brighton Semantico is now offering a wide range of flexible and bespoke hosting services to digital media companies in the South East. The new datacentre, securely located in Semantico’s Brighton office, already provides the Internet POP for SSE Telecoms and offers an economical and secure hosting environment for companies, with the added assurance of immediate access to Semantico’s development and support expertise.

This new datacentre, which adds to Semantico’s existing hosting provision, means that Semantico now offers a dual datacentre hosting service for organisations in the local area. Dependant upon their client’s needs, companies can choose between The Bunker, a data centre housed deep underground within a former NATO nuclear bunker, or the new Brighton Data Centre situated in Semantico’s Brighton offices. Both hosting sites offer features essential to production grade site operations, ensuring ample tier-1 bandwidth and Cisco firewall clusters amongst other specifications. The Brighton Data Centre has been designed to support sites that need a guarantee of up to 99% uptime and is suitable for online backup hosting, disaster recovery site hosting and test site hosting.

The Brighton Data Centre has been developed in response to Semantico’s own increasing requirements and to cope with the high demand from the growing Digital Market in the South-East region. Wired Sussex, a not for profit organisation who work with digital media companies, currently has a member database of 1615 digital media businesses and freelancers based in Sussex; this figure demonstrates how densely and digitally rich the South-East of England has become.
