Leading creative agency bliink, has produced an animation campaign film for the Global Health Workforce Alliance (The Alliance), hosted by the World Health Organisation, which was used to open a global forum on health workforce in Bangkok last week. The conference focussed on the need for ‘a health worker for everyone everywhere’ and was attended by world leaders, including Lord Nigel Crisp from the House of Lords from the United Kingdom.
The animation, which will feature on a micro site supported and hosted by the Guardian, powerfully highlights the effect that lack of health care support within developing countries can have on a community and was the first time animation had been used by The Alliance and WHO.
The work is part of an ongoing campaign by The Alliance to address the chronic shortage of health workers across the world. Supported by the Guardian micro site The Alliance hope to increase consumer awareness and drive fund raising.
bliink, whose client list includes Universal Pictures, EMI ,GAVI Alliance and Channel 4, was awarded the work in November.
