Thursday May 17th saw guests from major online retailers come to Brighton for the inaugural Actionable Insight seminar, hosted by DC Storm. The first in the series of educational events focused on sweating digital data assets to drive actions that improve performance. This first Actionable Insight event explored the fashion retail data ecosystem, looking at what data to use and how to draw valuable insights leading to action.Seth Richardson (CEO), Lewis Lenssen (Commercial Director) and Peter Hutchinson (Professional Services Director) presented new ways of looking at the end customer and visitors to websites, followed by how to action this analysis. Dismissing the noise and understanding what goes on beneath the surface of the data ecosystem allows the marketer to focus on the key data that drives the most successful marketing and business actions specific to their industry. Attendees were also given insight based on real case studies demonstrating how to act on patterns in user behaviour and new developments.
Following the seminar, mouth-watering tapas set guests up for a group trip to the sold-out-for-a-reason Brighton Festival show “The Best of BUG: The Evolution of Music Video”.
Attendee reactions to Actionable Insight were overwhelmingly positive. Jess Stephens, Head of Marketing at Moneysupermarket Deals said: “With plenty of talk about ‘big data’ in the marketing arena these days, it was refreshing to attend an event where smart, practical solutions where shared by the people who know retail and its challenges inside out. Several takeaways for my team, so all in all a great success. Thanks DC Storm.”
DC Storm will be running further educational events in Brighton and London starting in July and August, focused on fashion, travel and other verticals.
