Leapfrogg have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience in Internet Marketing.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level. The position would suit a graduate with a business or marketing related degree. Alternatively, they will have a minimum of 1 year working within a New Media office environment. They will be quick learners, pro-active, motivated, hard working and extremely enthusiastic. They will be confident, highly organised and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Daily duties will include:
- Creating Social Media Strategies for our clients, harnessing blogging, podcasting and creating communities
- Conducting comprehensive link research and analysing competitors for link opportunities
- Creating link strategies and building links for our clients
- Participating actively in the company blog
- Working closely with all team members to ensure the smooth handling of all campaigns and clients expectations
- Syndicating content by the major content networks
- Carrying out ongoing research and staying abreast of changes in all areas of link work and social media and delivering regular seminars
- Being pro-active in keeping up to date with all clients campaigns and services and suggesting ongoing ways of improving their results
We prefer the position to be full-time for 6 weeks.

Desirable skills include:
- Experience of using online networking and social media sites and technologies including Blogger, Wordpress, Facebook, YouTube, Deli.cio.us, StumbleUpon and Flickr
- Basic understanding of general marketing practices
- Basic understanding of Web 2.0
- A passion for the Internet and online business (something I would look for)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
- Strong experience in using each of the major search engines
- Strong analytical skills (ability to analyse statistical data)
- Strong online research skills
- Basic knowledge of html
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation techniques
- Basic knowledge of online marketing practices (e.g. email marketing, PPC marketing)
