Project Description: Social Media Manager
Fixed Term Contract: 6 weeks

Primary Purpose of the Job:

To join our production team to create, manage and champion programme content on social media including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & online platforms.

To develop and deliver an effective social media strategy focused on building audiences to live transmission as well as building brand awareness online working closely with our Press and Publicity Consultant and parent company's Social Media and Digital team.

To manage the day-to-day operations of social feeds and YouTube channels: editing, uploading, optimising, scheduling, reporting and community management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the production team to create entertaining, innovative and engaging digital content to reach new audiences online.
- Source, select, edit and optimise content and assets for YouTube and other social platforms using Premiere Pro & Photoshop
- Copywriting for video and channel descriptions / titles / metadata

- Community management - daily interaction with audiences (comment, like etc), plan and publish on the community tab on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds
- Create, maintain and share publication schedules across multiple platforms
- Monitor, measure and report on analytics to reach channel growth and audience KPIs
- Keep up to date with creative trends and developments on Social Media & YouTube.
- Ensure the channel adheres to platform-specific and company best practice

Education and Work Experience:

Education or training in Video Production / Editing is essential (you need to come shoot & edit-ready). Experience working within the TV broadcast industry / digital media production is desirable but not essential. Experience creating content for Social Media Platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter is essential.

Skills and Abilities:

• To be a team player and able to work to a brief
• Proficient in Photoshop & Premiere • Pro for social platform content creation / editing / subtitling.
• Effective time-management skills with the ability to balance numerous projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and consistency across multiple channels with the ability to write copy in a tone that matches the show
• A passion for reaching, building and engaging online audiences for TV content
• Knowledge of different video formats for different online/social platforms.

• Experience filming and editing social media content to support television programmes online
• Experience shooting whilst on location to create original digital content
• Experience analyzing, reporting on & responding to audience data and video metrics
