Location: Shoreham-by-sea

Project Description: We’ve just received funding from the Heritage Lottery for a digital history project involving school children in the Adur area.

The project, VHS: Visualising History in Shoreham-by-Sea, revolves around the creation of an interactive web-based journey through Adur ‘s local history - involving text, graphics and video. It will be aimed at young people and made with the involvement of school children from the local area. We are envisioning this as a new part of our Esteem website (WordPress), with the finished project allowing young visitors to interact with and learn about Shoreham-by-Sea’s past in a fun way.

We are looking for a committed web developer to take a lead in the construction of the new web page, working with the kids and an assigned Videographer, Graphic Designer, History Consultant and Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be happy working with young people, confident and experienced with WordPress design and development and able to provide examples of recent work to that effect. It will involve 2 days per month over a 12-month period.

If you're interested in the project, please send a covering letter, your CV and recent examples of your work to email below.

The deadline for applications is 28th Decemeber at midnight
Budget: £6000
