Talent Fest 2019: key takeaways and highlights from this year’s digital skills festival

Over three days in June, we ran Talent Fest 2019, the largest skills festival for the digital sector in the South East, developed to help digital, media and tech businesses in the region attract, train and retain the talent they need to thrive and deliver great work. Talent2017 was a 3-day skills festival for the digital sector. On the second day of the festival we ran a one-day conference to help businesses gain new insights in how to find and develop talent. Talent2017 was a 3-day skills festival for the digital sector. On the first day of the festival we ran the region’s largest digital careers fair which brought together key elements to provide attendees with advice and contact to start – or progress with – an exciting, challenging and rewarding career. It’s one year since we launched Digital Catapult Centre Brighton, so I wanted to take this opportunity to look back at what’s happened over the past 12 months. Through our Digital Catapult Centre Brighton programme we partnered with IOTUK to run a new model of 2-day intensive event called a ‘Pit Stop’. The aim of the event was to explore the ways technology can grow the high-street through the application of real-time data, the improvement of retailer productivity and the creation of innovative retail experiences.
