White Night – this Saturday

When I first heard about White Knight, all sorts of images flashed through my head, fortunately, they all turned out to be very wrong and it’s actually a festival (led by Brighton & Hove Arts Commission working in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council) to make the most of the ‘extra hour’ we get with the clocks going back.

This is the second year for the festival and they have a packed and eclectic line up to keep us entertained throughout the night. The programme includes user generated videos, art installations, late night sports and a (very) wide range of live music.

My recommendation this year is the BANG collaborative project - Future Machine. BANG (the Brighton Animators Networking Group) Members have been creating animations about the Future that will be projected onto the Unitarian Church in New Road. You’ll get the chance to see lots of amazing animations projected onto one of Brighton’s most unique buildings while having a pint at one of the pubs on the opposite side of the road.

The animations will be shown from 7 – 10.30 pm then again between 12 and 2 am this Saturday. The BANG Future Machine was put together by the hard work of Sarah Bird, Kate Genevieve and other members of BANG.

Hope to see you there,

Luke
