Last week we 'Untangled the Wires' between TV and the web at the 3rd Wired Sussex ConnectedTV Brighton event.
We were really pleased to hear from Nigel Walley, Managing Director of London based media strategy consultancy Decipher.
Nigel works at the forefront of the evolving TV revolution and heads up Decipher's work defining future formats for television advertising. He is the Chairman of the Decipher Group of companies which includes iBurbia, the interactive media research lab and also the chair of Manchester Digital’s TV Tech Group, launched in January 2013.
The event covered the theories behind ConnectedTV, the stages of TV evolution, channel branding and marketing & the purposes of TV channels - there was discussion aplenty! Nigel also looked at the new business opportunities created by emerging TV formats and talked about the commercial challenges within such new business opportunities.
If you didn't make it along to the event don't worry, you can see Nigel's fantastic presentation on slideshare here.
There was also lots of Twitter activity about the event, which you can check out at #CTVBrighton
