The Digital, Media & Tech Jobs Fair: the lowdown.

Friday 6th June saw the biggest sector-specific jobs fair that Brighton (and possibly the UK!) has seen.

The Digital, Media & Tech Jobs Fair saw over 1200 people through the door; 35 exhibiting companies all with at least one job on our Jobs Board; a series of talks from industry experts; workshops on finding a job with social media from the National Careers Service and 1-2-1 CV surgeries.

Funded by our Intern Placement Programme the event saw job seekers of every level; from new grads looking for the latest paid internships to those already in work looking to take the next step up on the career ladder.

A whole range of jobs were available from companies at the event, from marketing and PR positions to Digital Analysts, PHP and Magento developers.  We've got some really interesting stats and figures as a result of the event which offer insight into the world of job-seekers, so I thought I'd share some of them with you here.

From event attendees:

And from the exhibiting companies:

We'll be putting the rest of them into a lovely info graphic that we'll be sharing with you in a week or so - watch this space!

If you'd like to see what went on at the event, check out our Facebook page for the pictures.

If you weren't able to catch one of the talks from our industry experts, don't worry, you can catch all of the talks on our YouTube channel!

If you're looking for handy hints on best practice for exhibiting at jobs fairs, have a little read of an article that Oban Multilingual posted after the event (here), sharing their experience of using Pinterest at The Digital, Media & Tech Jobs Fair.

Hope to catch up with you at an event soon!
