The Digital Catapult Centre Brighton is currently being housed at The FuseBox, a space in Brighton created to support digital and creative activity. Here, Hub and Events Coordinator Rosalie offers an overview of recent Breakfast Drop Ins, a glimpse of what's yet to come and an overview of the opportunities coming up offering engagement with the Project.....
So far we have hosted two Business Breakfast Drop In sessions here in Brighton. These events were designed to follow on from the Digital Catapult Centre Brighton’s series of taster sessions. They were ultimately created to provide a chance for anyone to come to along to engage with us and other local business and individuals over a coffee and a locally made pastry.
These events are hosted by myself, Rebecca Groves, Head of Projects at Wired Sussex; and Gordon Borer, Business Development Manager at the University of Brighton. The aim of these intimate and informal events is to ensure that everyone attending gets a chance to ask any questions they might have. We also want participants to define key areas of relevance to themselves to help us build understanding on what digital themes are paramount locally.
A whole ton of valuable discussions are already taking place between guests at these morning events and in order to create an online space for these connections to continue to take place we have set up a Linkedin page. Please join to share ideas with other members and to receive Brighton Catapult news and information.
The next Drop In session for the diary is on the 4th September where we will be joined by American Express, one of Digital Catapult Centre Brighton's key partners. This event is also officially part of the Brighton Digital Festival so make sure you sign up early to secure a place. Not only will it be a great opportunity to network and potentially collaborate with like minded individuals and local businesses, this event will also present a chance to meet representatives from American Express and find out how and why they're involved in the Project.
We welcome you to pop along to one of our future Breakfast Drop-In Sessions, we are currently running them fortnightly until September after which they will be a monthly occurrence. Find out more about upcoming dates these are taking place and register to attend here.
If you're unable to come along to one of our events, please feel free to email us directly with any queries of potential project ideas you have, we would love to hear from you.
