I'm sure most of you know that the Wired Sussex Jobs Board helps you to find the best talent locally. It reaches out to tens of thousands of job seekers through direct e-mails, Twitter, LinkedIn, the Wired Sussex website and through our advert in the Latest7 magazine. You can now also highlight your job advert through our new featured jobs section.
But have you seen our Recruiting Tips & do you know what I can do to help you and your business?:
- I work with local universities to provide information to students about the sector, consult with departments on skills shortages. I'm currently working with apprenticeship providers about accessing all levels of digital, media and tech apprenticeships. Our next Wired Sussex event is a Briefing event for members about a new Degree Apprenticeship in software development at Chichester University on the 17th May 2016.
- I exhibit at Jobs Fairs to raise the profile of your vacancies and also widen the talent pool attracted to the local area, as well as help guide those starting out in the sector.
- I also co-run the HR Digital Media Group that Wired Sussex and Martin Searle employment law solicitors organise for our members. We meet regularly to provide support and free advice and give the opportunity for business owners, HR managers, directors and employees responsible for personnel issues who work in the digital media sector. Our next event is on the topic of How to be an Effective Coach to Maximise Performance on the 19th May. Book here or ask me for more info.
Being a Wired Sussex member instantly gives you access to many benefits, but don’t forget that it also means you can ask me for help with your recruitment matters. Our recruitment offering does not just end with the Jobs Board, I often help our members with advice on the following:
- getting the most out of your job descriptions
- providing additional exposure through social media etc where needed
- key advice on the sector
- I run breakfast session events on Finding Developing and Retaining Talent and Staff contracts & employment law issues, we held the Skills Summit last year and we're planing a three day Skills Festival for next year inlcuding a conference, a Jobs Fair and a Master Class day - If there are any other recruitment events you'd like me to run on your behalf, let me know.
