Job Seekers: How to Make the Most of Our New Jobs Site

Alongside our main website, we are delighted to present a new dedicated Jobs site; the best place to find the latest digital vacancies in Sussex, from design, marketing, games, animation, app development, programming, and everything in between!

With our new and improved site, it’s easier than ever before to find relevant jobs, stay up-to-date with opportunities, and apply for positions all in one place by creating your own job seeker account.

Note: If you receive Job Alerts from Wired Sussex, you don’t need to create a new account. Simply go to the Forgotten Password page, enter the email you signed up to Job Alerts with and you’ll receive an email instructing you to set up a password.

So, whether you’re just starting out or you’re an experienced professional searching for a new opportunity, here are some ways you can make the most out of our new Jobs site:

Finding a job

A broader search functionality means you can now browse jobs based on employer, job type, salary bracket, location or seniority of the position to find the best matches for you.

Try it out!

Jobs, straight to your inbox

Want to be the first to hear about job opportunities that match your skills and experience? Signing up to Job Alerts means you’ll receive tailored notifications straight to your inbox, so you never miss a great opportunity.

Create your custom alerts here.

Applying for jobs directly through the site

Once you have your account set up and find a job you would like to apply for, you can pre-fill your details and CV, use your previous cover letter or save a draft, making applying for jobs through our website so much easier.

Saving jobs for later

Found a job you’d like to come back to? You can now save jobs to return to later and also be notified of when they’re about to expire.

Uploading your CV

Add your CV so you can quickly attach it to a job application. Plus, you can choose to be included in our CV database so employers can reach out to you directly when they have a job opportunity that matches your skills.

TIP: On average recruiters spend as little as 5-7 seconds scanning CVs before deciding whether to invest time and read on. You need to make those seconds count and be clear on why you meet the requirements of the job.

Uploading your CV is simple, just log in to your account and add it here.

We have a tonne of advice for job seekers that can be found on our blog and we’re continuously adding more, so make sure you’re checking it out regularly for the latest tips and advice.

Also be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for the latest job opportunities and advice.

If you have any questions about our Jobs site, then don’t hesitate to get in touch with Mia, our Member Services Coordinator, by email or phone: 01273 692888.

Our new website is still in beta, and more tweaks and improvements will be coming, so if you have any feedback or find an issue when using the site, please let us know.
