Let’s #CelebrateFreelancing
Over the coming months, we’ll be celebrating freelancers and the vital role they play in our digital ecosystem! As well as sharing advice and success stories from freelancers and teaming up with some of Brighton’s best co-working spaces to offer our freelance members a 15% discount, this week we published two new blog posts! Check them out:
- Let’s #CelebrateFreelancing: highlighting all the people and groups doing great things to support the community
- Being a Freelance Member: What are the Benefits?
It’s been a big week for skills and talent!
This week we announced our annual skills festival for the digital sector is returning next year! Talent Fest 2020 will include a Jobs Fair, Portfolio Clinic, and a Skills Summit to help your business attract, train and retain the talent you need to thrive.
If you’d like to find out how the festival can help to position your business as an employer of choice and attract the very best talent to your organisation, get in touch.
And in more skills and talent news, we also:
- Have almost hit 50 pledges to our Skills and Talent Manifesto from local digital businesses. A huge thank you to everyone who’s joined so far.
- Released tickets to the next Diversity Working Group where we’ll explore diversity and inclusivity in the digital sector and how we can, collectively, turn words into action.
- Announced that Rifa Thorpe-Tracey and Allegra Chapman will be speaking at our Building Your Professional Development Toolkit event on the 26th November.
- Published our interview with University of Brighton graduate Eden Brackenbury about her journey from attending industry events to landing a job with Storythings.
Over 100 people signed up to our Members’ Christmas Meetup
That’s a load of potential new business connections! If you’ve not got your ticket yet, register here to join us for an evening of informal networking and end-of-year celebrations with others in the community. Shout-out to Fastnet for sponsoring the event ❤
