5 Reasons To Come to Our Virtual Christmas Members' Meetup

It's nearly time for our famous Christmas Members’ Meetup, and this year, we're doing it virtually! If you’re not feeling Christmassy just yet, here’s our top 5 reasons to come along:

1. Catch up online with fellow members from our community - you never know who you might bump into.

Worried it might be a bit awkward online? Don’t worry! We’ve set up dedicated chats for a range of industries, so you can meet members both new and old, build connections and network just like in the old days!

You don’t have to video chat either, it’s totally optional. Sit back and watch the live stream, or there’ll be text channels you can join just like Slack if you prefer.

Check out this blast from the past (2018), oh the crowds...

2. Get inspired by fellow members and see what they’ve been up to!

We’ve got plenty of special guests from our community joining the livestream to chat all about what their business has learnt and achieved this year, with their positive stories from 2020.

We’ll be joined by Luke Gibson from Mediatonic, Jonathan Malyon from Tilt, the team from United UsDesignateRose Media Group and more...

Mingle (virtually) like it's 2015...

3. Hear what Wired Sussex have been doing in our community, and what 2021 might hold.

Our MD, Phil Jones, will give his annual Christmas message, showcasing how we have supported our community this year, and he’ll peer into the future to see what 2021 might look like for us. We’ll also have a team channel on Discord for you to ask us about all things Wired Sussex.

More crowds! This time from 2018. Check out our old branding...

4. Show off your Christmas jumper AND be in with a chance of winning a prize.

We’ll be setting fun challenges through the night, with festive prizes to be won! We'll be chatting together on the Discord platform, so take a pic of your festive apparel or show it off on camera, and you might just win a prize generously donated by our sponsors Circus StreetRumour has it that they might include a cheeky tipple from Brighton Gin...

We hope Phil still has these glasses from 2016!

5. Say goodbye to our Skills & Talent lead, Rebecca

After almost 10 years at Wired Sussex, we’re very sad to see our Skills and Talent Lead, Rebecca Groves, go. Don’t miss your chance to say goodbye and good luck over a virtual eggnog!

We couldn't resist this one from 2015...

And of course, have fun!

Hang out, watch the livestream, put on some festive tunes, laugh at our silly hats - however you want to join, we can’t wait to see you there!

So...what are you waiting for? Sign up now and we’ll send you over all the details so you can join us on the night.
