Brighton Tech Community Events - Join in!

With restrictions starting to lift and a little bit of normality on the horizon, we thought we’d shine the spotlight on those that are bringing our tech community together by hosting meetups, conferences and workshops both online and (fingers-crossed!) in-person very soon.

If you’re a developer or would love to learn to code, Brighton has plenty of great meetups, whatever language you’re passionate about. And, you never know who you might meet!

Here are our top picks, make a note in your calendar and join them for their next event.
If you don't see a meetup for you, why not start your own?

Make sure to keep an eye out for our own FuseBox events later in the year.

Codebar Brighton

Codebar is a charity that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running free regular programming workshops for minority groups in tech.

Their goal is to enable minority group members to learn programming in a safe and collaborative environment and expand their career opportunities. If you’d like to become a full-time developer, or just want to learn the basics of coding in a supportive environment, join one of their free regular workshops, which normally include half an hour of socialising, a lightning talk and then hands-on coding with your coach!

They’re also always on the lookout for more coders to join their community and help coach, find out more.

Brighton Java

Brighton Java brings together Java users, enthusiasts and learners for informal get-togethers, including talks, workshops and socials. They're interested in the whole world of Java – android development, server frameworks, interesting tools, applications, development methodologies and so on.
