About the brief

We are a charity helping young people in crisis to belong, contribute and thrive in society. Our support and services are broad and include supported accommodation for those with nowhere to call home, counselling, learning and education programmes, targeted youth work and much more.

During the coronavirus outbreak, our number one priority is keeping services running for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. This includes counselling and therapy for children, families and young people. We are currently working hard to adapt our projects so that we can ensure every young person is supported during this anxious time, whether though remote support, web support or phone calls.

As part of these adaptations, we have been asked to fast-track the launch of a new website that supports young people with their mental health and wellbeing – e-wellbeing. Mental health systems and pathways are often complicated and difficult to navigate, and this website simplifies the process of accessing the right help, in the right place, at the right time. It will provide self-help guidance and information about different aspects of mental health difficulties and helps young people decide if they need help from a professional service. They will then be connected with information about services in their local area.

As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, now more than ever, it is crucial that young people are supported to manage their mental health positively. It will help relieve pressure on GP surgeries and A&E where possible and help keep young people informed about which services are able to support them as service models change.

We know that everyone is facing unexpected challenges at the moment, but we really need animators and content creators to help create digital assets for the platform ahead of the launch in May. If you are able to offer any pro bono support, it would make such a difference! Please use the contact details below if you would like to find out more and offer your support.
