Who we are

We are experts in providing library management software products for libraries and information centres. The software helps library and information managers to catalogue both print and electronic resources, keep track of loans and control access to items. We have modules that help with the acquisitions process, keeping track of expenditure and manage the purchase and circulation of serial publications. The OPAC is the interface for library users to search and browse the catalogue.

Our company was founded by Penny Bailey our Managing Director in 2002. Penny is a Chartered Librarian with programming experience. So our software products are designed by a librarian.

The team also includes developers, support & data technicians, client liaison and sales & marketing people.

What we do

We use Microsoft’s development tools to create intuitive and browser based software to help our clients manage their libraries. Our software is suitable for trained and qualified librarians as well as helpers, volunteers or "that person" landed with the job of looking after the library. We pride our selves on making the tasks easier, automated, take up less time and aren't complicated to use. That's why we named our one of our products "The Simple Little Library System".

We also work with medium sized libraries and libraries that require more functionality. We developed "KnowAll Matrix" for medium sized or multi-site libraries requiring multiple workflows for different geographical locations or who require a greater level of sophistication.

What's important to us is delivering software that clients tell us they need so we have a wish list of functions that get added to our software products. Our hosted software is automatically updated every 4-8 weeks with patches, improvements and new functions.

We also believe that clients should be able to but only what they need and shouldn't be tied into long contracts. So we offer a core system with optional modules or different packages to suit individuals to large organisations. We keep them happy and they keep coming back. Some of our clients have been with us since the early days and we can boast 99% client retention - our clients don't leave us for competitors!

We have a 24/7 searchable help centre. We offer conversion, training and support services.

We develop using C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, ASP.Net Identity/OWIN, Entity Framework 6, SQL Server/TSQL, HTML 5, Bootstrap CSS, Javascript/JQuery, Web API/JSON.

We support integration with third party applications like federated search, enterprise search, information management, document management, user registries, etc.

We also sell library barcodes, barcode scanners, library cards.

We work with small to medium sized libraries across the UK and worldwide. Our clients include individuals, lawyers, professional firms, government bodies, schools, colleges, charities, institutes, associations and medical or health libraries - anyone with a library they want to manage!
