City College Web Courses - 20% Discount for Wired Sussex Members

The Centre of Vocational Excellence at City College Brighton and Hove are running two one day introductory courses in XML and PHP.

Introduction to PHP

Date: Thursday 2nd June

PHP is an Open Source server side scripting language that is used in the production of dynamic web sites.

This course will develop an understanding of PHP by means of lectures and workshops.

The central focus will be learning to write PHP to create Web Pages. Through practical exercises developing PHP, you will have a thorough grounding in this technology.

Introduction to XML

Date Thursday 9th June

The Extensible Markup Language (XML) has established itself as a universal method of storing structured data. XML documents can be used in many situations and new uses for XML are being invented regularly.

This course will develop an understanding of the role of XML by means of lectures and workshops.

The central focus will be learning to effectively combine XML, XLST and CSS to create Web Pages. Through practical exercises that incorporate XML and associated applications, you will have a thorough grounding in this technology.

The cost of each course is £180.00 but there is a discount of 10% if clients book both courses.
