If you have been made redundant or are struggling to find employment during these uncertain times, GB MET are here to support you. Our Opening Doors programmes offer a wide range of free short courses to help you take that first step in your new career. What’s more, some of these enable you to achieve industry-recognised qualifications upon successful completion. Courses include:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Business Skills
  • Common Health Conditions
  • Counselling
  • Door Supervisor + CCTV Operator (SIA) & Employability Award
  • Graphic Design
  • Health and Social Care
  • IT for Beginners
  • Maximise Job Prospects
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Reconnect (an introduction to the college environment)
  • Start your own business

We also provide additional employability support to help you with your CV, applications, and interviews, and offer a job matching service linking you up with local employers who are recruiting. We'll help build your confidence and give you the skills, knowledge and expertise to help you stand out in the job market.
