Man Bites Dog Wins Best PR Consultancy & Best Business Campaign at Fresh Awards 2010

Multi-award winning Brighton-based PR consultancy Man Bites Dog has won two impressive accolades at the Fresh Awards 2010.

The agency scooped the night’s top prize, being named Best PR Consultancy, as well as taking the award for Best Business-to-Business Campaign.

The Best Consultancy award recognises Man Bites Dog as the top PR agency in the UK.

The judges commented: “Man Bites Dog demonstrates an inspirational work ethos and vibrant culture which should provide lessons for other consultancies to aspire to.

“Strong growth and good staff retention, combined with a passion for their business, clearly put the team ahead.”

Impressively, Man Bites Dog also took the Best Business-to-Business Campaign award for the second year running, for Credit - Where it’s Due?, a thought leadership campaign on behalf of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Credit - Where it’s Due? was the first report to identify a new stage in the credit crunch, revealing that banks were depriving businesses of working capital.

Judges described Credit - Where it’s Due? as: “An intelligent, transformational message which addressed the issue of the recession in a clear and concise manner.

“Despite a low budget, the campaign achieved great results and was clearly a very strong and successful campaign.”

Established by Claire Mason in 2005, Man Bites Dog specialises in delivering PR campaigns for clients across three business sectors: professional & financial services, technology & digital media, and property & environment.

The consultancy brings clients’ expertise to life through compelling thought leadership and news generation content, turning expert knowledge into ‘man bites dog’ stories.

Managing Director, Claire Mason commented: “I’m very proud that this is the fourth Best Consultancy award Man Bites Dog has won. It reflects highly on the team’s hard work, creative thinking and ability to deliver strong media and financial results for our clients.”

The consultancy’s Fresh Awards success follows as string of major industry accolades, including B2B Marketing’s Best PR Agency 2009 and a silver award in PRWeek’s Best Places to Work 2009. Man Bites Dog Account Manager David Mercer was also listed as one of PRWeek’s “29 under 29” best communicators, and MD Claire Mason was recognised as one of the UK’s “35 under 35” leading business women by Management Today magazine.
