TEDxBrighton is very pleased to be able to reveal two new inspiring speakers for TEDxBrighton 2014. Artist, trans activist, gender documenter, Fox Fisher and technology rebel Megan Leckie.

Fox is cofounder of My Genderation documentary films. He took part in My Transsexual Summer 2011, which coincided with the beginning his medical transition and he and his filmmaking partner Lewis, are both presenters of Transgender UK on Channel 4.

Megan has recently graduated with a BA in Film and Screen Studies. She is passionate about technology being used to create a positive impact within society. She cofounded BlockBuilders with Joe Palmer – a project which aims to get children involved in the future of their towns.

TedxBrighton is also delighted to announce that Colin Grant's moving TEDxBrighton talk was selected for publication on TED.com. Focusing on his memories of the immigrant Jamaican community, his talk has received more than a quarter of a million views. Watch Colin's talk here: bit.ly/1qGTZp2.

Megan and Fox join a roster of other fascinating speakers, including bestselling crime author Peter James, activist Sam Roddick and Karl Mattingly, founder of slowXchange, a London based internet platform that crowdsources forecasts on financial performance.

Sam Orams, producer for TEDxBrighton, said: “It’s been a great week for TEDxBrighton, and I’m delighted to confirm two fine speakers who will share some fascinating insights in to this year’s theme, Many Hands, which is all about communities.”
