Brighton Electric Studios rebrand with attitude!

Brighton Electric are a high-end recording and rehearsal complex. Known to be the biggest facility in the South of England, BE manages bands such as The Cure, Royal Blood, Laura Marling and more.

Brighton Electric recently underwent a shift in aesthetic. We designed a site and moulded their logo to draw from punk and rock & roll. The design had to be loud and reflect and attitude associated with the music industry. The logo was evolved, taken form the original distressed look and converted to a more clean, modern approach.

The website had to be driven by brutalism. Focusing on typography and finding inspiration from 1970's gig and club posters. As well as the industry itself, it had to hold a sense of community. Brighton Electric is not just a recording or rehearsal space, it's a venue, a bar and a lifestyle for many within the music scene in Brighton.

Since the new launch, the website has had a 92% increase in traffic and was featured on siteinspire. Ongoing the site is slowly becoming an online hub for young artists and musicians in Brighton. The BE team are slowly rolling out avenues and other media platforms with content about the industry as an outlet for the next generation.
