The Challenge

Following on from the Wild Coast Sussex brand identity we created for our client, the Sussex Wildlife Trust, we were briefed to create a guidebook with maps and activities to help families enjoy and engage with the Sussex coast and the local marine wildlife. The guide will be distributed at project events, Sussex Wildlife Trust education and visitor centres, and local community hubs. It will also be available digitally on the Wild Coast Sussex website.

The Results

Designed to be eye-catching, bold and engaging for all the family, the guide brings to life the typographic language of the brand and also its critters. We used a spot colour, combined with a rich black to bring out the beautiful, bold, contrasting colours of the brand.

The guide was printed using vegetable inks on recycled paper and a process that was carbon neutral, powered by solar and renewable energy, plus some trees were planted for good measure.

You can discover some amazing places and wildlife all along the wild coast of Sussex with walking trails from Selsey to Rye Harbour within the guide. It’s filled with fascinating info, facts, activities and ways to get involved with the charity too.
