If you’re serious about film, then you’ll love us. With state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated industry lecturers and central locations in the heart of three filmmakers’ cities; Birmingham, Brighton and Manchester, Screen and Film School’s mission is to deliver practical courses and train the next generation of filmmakers wishing to enter the film industry.

Preparing our students for a successful career in the film and television industry is why we do what we do. It’s who we are. We’ve kick-started the careers of students into feature films, Netflix television series, documentaries, music videos, adverts, corporate work and promo videos. Not to mention other diverse areas such as screenwriting, directing, producing, camera, sound, editing, lighting, location management and many more.

Our core goals are to train the next generation of filmmakers and creators to be the best at what they do and to deliver courses at the cutting edge of industry trends. How do we do that? We constantly consult and engage with industry experts to discover what skills and experience filmmaking graduates need to stand out from the crowd.

A career in the film and television industry isn’t a pipe dream.

Our industry is booming, and we have the latest research and figures to prove it. Official 2021 BFI statistics revealed a record £5.64 billion film and high-end TV production spend in the UK.

The industry-led skills body for the screen industries, ScreenSkills, have reported that by 2025 film and high-end television production in the UK will be worth £7.7bn per year and a further 21,000 new crew members will be required to meet that demand.
