About the event

Do you work in the digital, media and tech sector? Do you want to take charge of your professional development?

Join us for an evening of talks featuring practical advice and strategies to help you advance and succeed in your career, as well as tips on how to continue your personal development.

We’ll discuss ways to set your own milestones and personal targets, offer suggestions on how to connect with the right people, where to find opportunities for life-long learning and how to promote yourself to the right employers.

Whether you already have a five-year plan and want practical tips on how to achieve it, or you’re just looking for some inspiration, this event is for you. Come along at 6pm for refreshments and pizza and talks starting at 6.30pm. Be sure to bring a notebook and a pen to jot down your notes and take a part in the workshop!

Joining us, we'll have...

Allegra Chapman, Founder of Brighton Digital Women

Allegra will share her journey of moving from a junior exec to a mid-level position, her experience of leaving the London commute behind, then freelancing on return from maternity leave and her next adventure moving into a values-led growth agency. Through this overview of her personal journey, Allegra will talk about the lessons learnt, the skills that helped her to step up and tips that might help your own personal development.

Rifa Thorpe-Tracey, Mentor and Career Coach at Refigure

Rifa will run a short hands-on workshop and share some tools to increase your confidence and support you to be more authentic in your personal development.

Rebecca Groves, Skills & Talent Strategy Lead at Wired Sussex
Rebecca will be sharing her insights into how to advance your career and promote yourself to future employers, plus practical advice for putting together a toolkit for personal development and how Wired Sussex can help.
