About the event

Welcome to the first of our 2020 Brighton Kotlin meetups featuring Joseph Van der Wee as our guest speaker!

5pm - RSVPs close at 5pm on the day
6:30pm - Doors open and networking (pizza + drinks provided).
7:15pm - Getting into the Flow with Coroutines by Joseph Van der Wee
8:30pm onwards - Finish up with a drink at the Prince Albert

Hot topics at KotlinConf, Coroutines and Flow provide an efficient way to handle asynchronous data streams.

In this talk Joe will explore how we can use some of the basics from these APIs to provide fluid experiences for our users and avoid callback hell in our code. He’ll point out some of the common pitfalls along and way and look at how we can migrate from RxJava to Flow for reactive programming in Kotlin.
