The Space in Sound main event (consisting of daytime talks & evening performances) that was set to take place at The Old Market on 25th March is now rescheduled for Friday, 18th September 2020, the time and place will remain the same.

Lighthouse presents The Space in Sound: a day of talks and an evening performance exploring the different ways sound can occupy a space.

The event offers an opportunity to discover ways in which sound appears in its physical, psychological, compositional, digital, electronic and analogue forms. Themes will interrogate spatial sound, architecture, objects, experimentation and how it can play, interact and synergise between individuals, communities and the environment.

This is an event for sound practitioners, artists, musicians, architects, students and anyone with an interest in the creative possibilities of sound.

The Space in Sound is inspired by the former Lighthouse programme The Sound of Story, an exploration of sound, music and storytelling, that ran 2014-16.
