About the event

Murmurations by Shared Space and Light image

Fabrica is currently presenting a specially commissioned, moving image artwork by Shared Space and Light. This will be the first ever work to utilise the gallery's Neo-Gothic Grade II listed facade by transforming the huge stained glass windows into a canvas for a projection-based exploration of Brighton’s starling murmurations.

As 2021 heralds Fabrica’s 25th Anniversary, this as an exciting new opportunity to commission a fun, engaging and highly visible artwork in Brighton’s South Lanes, which can be safely enjoyed by passers-by even during the current covid-19 restrictions.

During the winter months you will be able to see and enjoy Murmurations from outside the gallery by looking up at the building's facade on Ship Street after dark.

This exhibition has been made possible by The Cultural Recovery Fund.
