The Wired Sussex Breakfast Sessions share best practice on subjects ranging from marketing and branding to intellectual property and investment opportunities. And there’s coffee and croissants too. What’s not to like?

At this Breakfast Session, we'll be looking at how to successfully become a mentor. From finding your mentee/s and building your relationship, to how best to structure your sessions ensuring you're both gaining professional and emotional value.

Joining us at this session will be:

Ben Bennett, Chief Operating Officer at Omnitude

Ben is an experienced commercial professional with a proven history of building, coaching and developing high performing teams. After many years of being a mentee and crediting it for much of his career development and personal growth, Ben understood that he also had something to offer back. He began mentoring junior colleagues, LinkedIn connections and young people through charities which developed into mentoring company CEOs, Students, and variety of people from different backgrounds and career paths.

Claire Hopkins, Director at Ideal

Claire is co-founder of Ideal, a high-growth IT company in Brighton. In 2017 she stepped back from day to day running of the business and was approached to mentor 2 different women. She also became a mentor for The Girls’ Network whose mission is to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional female role models. Claire is now a trustee of The Girls’ Network and a governor at Greater Brighton Metropolitan College.

Rob Verheul, Managing Director at Graphite Digital

As well as being Managing Director of Graphite, Rob is listed in the BIMA Hot 100 for his work building awareness about career opportunities in Digital.
