We’re excited about the strong connection and growth of the MoT Community and expanding our offerings. We have TestBash Essentials, TestBash Workshops and TestBash conference tickets to choose from. For the pre-event course, we will be hosting the 3-day ‘Automation in Testing’ course with Richard Bradshaw and Mark Winteringham.

Day 1 is a single-track conference, TestBash Essentials, focused on bringing testing knowledge and experience to those that would benefit from it, but may not necessarily be an expert in it (yet).

Day 2 is a workshop day, with 10 half-day workshops and a 2 talk tracks.

Day 3 is a single-track conference, TestBash, consisting of 9 talks.

On Saturday, we will be hosting an Open Space event.

TestBash Wednesday Meetup

This is our first year hosting an extra conference day at TestBash Brighton. TestBash Essentials is a software testing conference designed to get back to the bare necessities of software testing. It’s aimed at those newer to testing who want to help get a solid foundation of testing concepts and ideas. These are not new ideas, but more ideas that you need to know about explained well.

In true TestBash style, we're hosting a meetup after the conference, and before the workshops the following day, to give attendees an extra chance to discuss their learnings from the day or just get to know each other better.

You don't need to have a conference ticket to attend the meetups but if you haven't got a ticket to the conference yet and you would like to, you can register here https://ministryoftesting.com/events/testbash-essentials-brighton-2019

BrightonSEO: Speaker Confidence Workshop

A conference is nothing without its speakers and we’re always keen to hear from new speakers. Whilst you might have some great insight to share, maybe the idea of standing on a stage and sharing them feels a bit daunting?

We’ve teamed up with Kirsty Hulse, former brightonSEO speaker to offer her speaker conference training session for free the day before April’s conference.

About the workshop

After finding herself the only female speaker at a conference more than once, Kirsty began to give free presentation training to women to try and do her bit, in a small way, to try and balance the playing field.

Speaking to people about the fears they had when it came to public speaking, she realised that providing training on simply how to present wasn’t the solution. The solution was to create workshops where people could discover their voice, feel empowered and find the confidence to get on stage in the first place.

Taking lessons she learnt from a surprisingly successful stint in standup comedy, Kirsty developed a workshop to help people not only present better on stage, but to let go of their inhibitions, find the fun in failure and to create the confidence to put themselves out there.

“Kirsty’s one-day speaker confidence workshop provided exactly the confidence boost that I needed – since then I’ve pitched to speak at two SEO conferences and have been accepted for both. Kirsty’s style is informal and relaxed, allowing each participant to find their voice, pinpoint their own strengths and explore speaking in a supportive (and often hilarious) environment. Would recommend for anyone looking for a no-bullshit day to inspire, educate and most importantly propel you into action!”

The workshop will take place at the Brighton Centre on 11 April 2019.
