Job Description:

As an experienced web developer, you will be responsible for the quality of your code. You will be comfortable with building software according to “12 factor app” principles, and going an extra mile to do it well. You will also have to be comfortable with legacy code, and leaving it in a better state than you found it. The projects you will be working on will vary from small CMS integrations, to bespoke systems and services.

Skills Range:
  • Strong experience with OO PHP
  • Experience with popular PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel is preferable)
  • Strong understanding of REST principles
  • Experience with testing and CI
  • Experience with writing lean, versioned APIs
  • Performant SQL
  • Experience with popular open-source CMS’s (Wordpress or Joomla)
  • Knowledge of git (git flow, ideally)
  • Linux cli
  • HTML5 and CSS

Bonus skills

  • ECMA Script (server side will do, but client-side would be a big plus)
  • Knowledge of popular ES server-side frameworks (Express or Koa)
  • Understanding of popular web-servers, and security (nGinx is a plus)
  • Docker (standalone will do, but orchestrated is a big plus)
  • GraphQL
