Job Description:

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our ambitious product development team based in Brighton. You will be working on interesting and original data problems.

  • You love learning and solving complex problems.
  • You have an understanding of software engineering design trade-offs.
  • You feel comfortable working within an Agile process, whether it’s Scrum or Kanban.
  • You always consider the end-user when designing and implementing solutions.

About the Role

At Airfinity we’re building a team of first class engineers to build truly disruptive product. Our proprietary EventGraph and the web applications built upon it make totally new things possible in the event and sponsorship industry.

As such we often come up against novel problems that require creative solutions. These are the challenges which motivate us and we’re looking for a like minded individual to join the fun.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building high quality code to expand and extend our innovative data platform
  • Proactively contributing to development and product discussions
  • Gathering, enriching and analysing data to enhance our products
  • Contributing to the technical knowledge of the team and company
  • Participating in our feature creation, specification and estimation processes
  • Championing data quality best practises within the team
  • Helping to improve our technical and workflow processes


Skills Range:
  • Python
  • Any RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
  • Data analysis tools - eg OLAP & BI (Amazon Redshift)
  • Experience modelling data and structures for analytical and transactional purposes

Bonus Points For:

  • Apache Airflow
  • Data scraping (eg Scrapy)
  • Experience using ORMs such as SQL Alchemy or similar
  • Experience working with the AWS platform
  • Javascript / Node experience
