Director of Digital UX and Strategy - Coherence

Brighton and Hove

Closing date: 08/03/2018

Established for over 18 years, businesses across the UK engage Coherence to produce website solutions which excel in both user experience and meeting business objectives. Specialising towards B2B, we offer services supporting the site performance aspects of lead generation including use of analytics, multivariate testing and user research to enable our sites to evolve and improve over time.

Coherence has recently adopted DX8, a cutting edge technology which allows us to push Drupal 8 far beyond its traditional limits and build highly designed marketing friendly sites adopting the principles of atomic design.

Job Description:

As Coherence has grown, so have our clients. This means more client collaboration, greater understanding of their business and ongoing advisory on approaches to UX and strategy.
This is a brand new role which will sit at Director level. This individual will have significant experience on understanding how users interact with the web as a medium and approaches that be undertaken to form the optimal strategy for both build and evolution.
The role will involve engaging with clients (usually at a c-suite level) where you will gain a true understanding of their business, their objectives and use your wealth of knowledge to form an approach on information architecture, UX strategy and content engagement strategy.
Your output will ultimately result in the production of a set of interactive wireframes which will be presented to the client and the team detailing the proposed approach we are recommending to be taken.

Person Specification:

You will be a people person. After all, it's not just the clients you will be engaging with. You will be leading a growing team of experience designers all of whom will be hungry to translate your vision into a final solution which will both perform and impress.
You will be also be feeding into the product owners and account managers who will ensure the project is managed and delivered to the high standards we set ourselves.
You will instinctively be able to identify possible usability obstacles and work with departmental teams to find innovative solutions to minimize their impact. Attention to detail is a must so to avoid those small flaws which have such a great impact.
And finally, you will enjoy your work. It is important to us at Coherence that projects are enjoyable for both us and the client. This is why we have worked to hard to remove most of the traditional pain-points web agencies hit.
