Accordance is a European VAT Consultancy. We’re a serious and dynamic business, but we work in a friendly and informal environment.  The company is based in Brighton but we provide compliance and advisory services to blue-chip firms throughout the EU - and beyond.

Our aim is to simplify the experience of cross-border VAT for businesses trading in Europe, through a policy of practical engagement with our clients and their indirect tax issues.  This may sound pretty dry, but it’s surprising how useful imagination can be in the world of VAT. (‘Are jaffa cakes to be considered cakes or biscuits for tax purposes?’ Imagine the marketing possibilities…).

Job Description:

The Marketing Insight Manager will be accountable for understanding the requirements and opportunities of our marketplace - representing customer, partner and competitor activity, cultural and commercial requirements, as well as market and technological trends - and advising on relevant ways to engage with our audience based on the results of research (both internally & externally).

 

Strategy

  • Evaluating market opportunities and making strategic recommendations.

Market Research and Intelligence

  • Analysing consumer behaviours and reactions across multiple channels and media
  • Identifying key unmet customer needs by market and assessing opportunities relative to the current market environment and competition
  • Collaborating with marketing, sales and consulting teams to create solutions to market problems/risks faced by the business
  • Perform market research to validate sales and marketing concepts
  • Staying abreast of trends and insights in the financial services and B2B sectors
  • Leading projects that enable the business to gain new insights into our customers and the marketplace
  • Staying up to date with the latest VAT legislation and evaluating the impact and opportunities for our business
  • Delivering monthly competitor analysis to the sales and content team

Social

  • Social listening to inform sales and marketing strategy of the business
  • Staying up to date with advances in social networking

Reporting

  • Delivering marketing analytics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and providing analysis/insights into trend
  • Analysing the impact of marketing activity on the business
 
Skills Range:
  • Highly-developed analytical abilities and relational skills
  • International and/or B2B experience will be appreciated
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Additional language is appreciated but not essential
 
Person Specification:
  • Graduate level (marketing degree appreciated but not essential)
  • Experience: Minimum of two years (agency experience preferable)
  • Must be professional, accurate, flexible, and happy to work in a diverse environment
  • Will have a passion for marketing
  • Driven to take part in the challenge of developing a fast-growing European company
