Who we are

Red Setter is the leading PR and marketing agency for design agencies. Based in Brighton’s
North Laine, our team of 22 PR professionals, journalists and senior marketers work with the world’s
most exciting design agencies helping them grow their reputations and win major new accounts with
global brands.

Our clients create brands, visual identities, packaging design, digital assets and campaigns, ads,
motion graphics, architectural and interior design for their clients across a wide range of sectors from
FMCG to property, retail, professional services, leisure, travel, financial services, and public sector.

We have a tight specialism, a really specific niche - we know it well and we work for agencies across
the globe from London to NYC, Sydney and Singapore. We know this sector, and are well known in it
as the people to go to when an agency wants to grow its reputation or client base.

We are also different from many business development agencies in that we integrate our activities
with PR and content marketing. We create high quality editorial for our clients, and either use it
directly to approach their new business prospects, or we get it into the media and use that as a
door opener.

In just the past few months our clients have been featured in national newspapers such as The
Guardian, City AM, and The Times, consumer media like Stylist and The European, leading trade
titles such as The Grocer, Drinks Business, and Property Week, and all our own sector press like
Design Week, Campaign, It's Nice That, and Transform.

The result is quite simply that our clients win a lot of new business. In the past 12 months our clients
have won millions of pounds worth of new business at companies such as Honda, Bupa, Bacardi,
Kellogg’s, Smith & Nephew, Virgin Atlantic, Pernod Ricard, Carlsberg, Sainsbury’s and many others.
We lose few clients and win a steady stream of new ones through recommendation and referral.
We've built a strong foundation - a solid client base, a fantastic team, and a reputation as the people
to speak to when you want to grow your agency - and over the next 3-5 years we plan to build on this
with significant expansion of our team in Brighton, London and NYC.

Job Description:

The role

We are looking to hire an Account Executive to join the team to work alongside one of our Account
Directors on an established and growing client base.

This Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities for further
development by the Account Director.

They will do it through a range of tactics and activities including:
- Building and maintaining prospect databases, sourcing leads
- Reviewing of industry and business news to identify opportunities for relevant new business
- approaches media insights
- Making direct, personalised approaches by email to prospects
- Executing direct mail campaigns
- Tracking, and engaging on, social media to generate new business opportunities
- Finding relevant industry events
- Maintaining client information, so all case studies and other information is up to date
- Building client reports
- Supporting Account Director as needed

Person Specification:

About you

Some experience of business development and/or marketing would be preferable. Ideally you’ve graduated in a good academic subject, done a first job and are looking for a step up – a role you can really get into, contribute a lot, and start moving along a career path.

Additional Information:

What we offer

The salary for this role is £18-24k dependent on experience. You will become eligible to join our profit
share scheme. We also offer a company pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and 25 days paid
holiday plus the day off on your birthday.

Red Setter is a lovely place to work. We have attractive, warehouse-style offices in Brighton's North
Laine, frequent social events – from after-work drinks on the beach to a whole company weekend trip
(we headed to Berlin in March) and there’s a fun, happy and friendly vibe in the office.
