Job Description:

We're on a mission to see how close our technology can get to offering the same level of service online as you receive from a brilliant high-street assistant. Our decision engines are already live across some of the largest brands in the UK and are expanding to markets around the globe. 

As we extend our reach globally we’re looking for someone to fill the new position of Technical Operations Manager. The successful candidate will join our fast-growing team and help us manage our IT both in the cloud and on site. This is the initial hire for what we plan to become a technical operations team.

We’re looking for someone to manage and improve our AWS based infrastructure, manage our internal office IT requirements, and ensure we continue to meet security expectations.

 
Skills Range:

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years experience managing AWS resources.
  • Experience with procurement and provisioning automation tooling (Chef, Puppet, etc)
  • Understanding of and ability to implement industry recognised security principles (ISO-27001, 10 steps to cyber security).
  • Somone who can harden our infrastructure security and implement /respond to intrusion detection.
  • Advise and support us on our move to a containerised environment.
  • Experience managing networks, VPNs, firewalls.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Hiring the right people to support the business IT needs and create a team of like-minded experts.
  • The overall security of all 15gifts activities globally.
  • AWS management, billing, and support as required.
  • Develop, maintain and execute business continuity plans.
  • Responsibility of all office IT Equipment Network, Phones, Macs, etc.
